Traditional local fabrication can involve substantial labour, operating and intermediary costs, especially in Singapore where rental and labour costs are high. For some projects, quotations can be 3–8 times the cost of the raw material.
SOMMER works differently.
We source your materials and coordinate fabrication overseas, closer to the source, before bringing the pieces to Singapore.
Our margin covers only the work, logistics and risks involved in sourcing, coordinating and importing your pieces to Singapore, allowing more of your budget to go towards the materials and design you actually want.
Bespoke sourcing takes a little more time, but with thoughtful planning, it doesn’t have to hold up your project. We help you plan ahead and coordinate the journey from idea to arrival, so everything comes together when it should.

WHO WE ARE
Hi! We’re Max and J — ordinary homeowners with extraordinary design ideas, but not-so-extraordinary budgets. What began as a renovation project for our own home soon became something more.
As we searched for the perfect statement vanity sinks, kitchen islands and bespoke furniture, we found ourselves asking the same question: why should beautiful design come with an eye-watering price tag?
Determined to find a better way, we looked beyond Singapore, connected with trusted overseas suppliers and discovered new possibilities for bringing our ideas to life — without the hefty price tag.
And that’s how SOMMER was born.

Material, Design & Budget
Fabrication Drawing
Made to Order
Send us your reference images, ideas and dimensions — even if it’s just a Pinterest save or a rough idea. We’ll take it from there.
Together, we’ll refine the materials, design and dimensions to suit your vision and budget.
Once your design is confirmed, a 15% deposit gets things started. We’ll prepare detailed fabrication drawings covering dimensions, joints, edges and finishes for your review and approval.
Estimated timeline: ~5 days
Once the drawings are approved, a further 70% payment confirms your piece for fabrication. Our craftsmen will then bring your design to life according to the approved specifications.
Estimated timeline: 1–4 weeks, depending on material and complexity.

Delivery with peace of mind
Installation
We coordinate the overseas logistics and shipping of your finished piece to Singapore, taking care of the journey from our fabricator to your doorstep.
Estimated timeline: 3–4 weeks
Once your piece arrives, we’ll coordinate the final installation, with the remaining 15% balance payable upon installation.
Already have your own contractor or installer? No problem — let us know and we can tailor the arrangements accordingly.
